Travel informationTo / From AthensThe best and safest way to travel to Athens from abroad is by airplane. Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” (www.aia.gr) is frequently connected with most big towns and country capital cities in Europe and the rest of the world. Alternatively, one could also travel to Athens by boat (arrival at Piraeus port), by car (via Italy or the Balkans) or by train via the Balkan countries. From Airport to Syntagma SquareSyntagma Square is located in Athens’ city centre and is near the Astor Hotel. There is a 24-hour bus service (Bus X95 - 5 Euros for single trip) and a modern metro service (8 Euros for a single trip) that connect the Airport to Syntagma.
